Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This policy describes what NovoltGear does with data when you visit this website. It is written to describe the site as it actually is, which is unusually simple: there is no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
1. The short version
- We do not set cookies of our own.
- We do not run analytics or advertising scripts.
- We do not have accounts, logins, or a newsletter list.
- We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not collect it.
- The only thing stored in your browser is your cookie-banner choice, and it never leaves your device.
2. Information you give us
The only way to send us information is by email. Our contact form does not transmit anything to this website: it opens your own email application with the message pre-filled, and you decide whether to send it.
If you do email us, we receive whatever you include — typically your name, your email address and your message. We use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to anyone else. Our email is handled by a third-party email provider, which processes it on our behalf.
3. Information collected automatically
This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse — this typically includes your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser's user agent. We do not have a dashboard that shows us individual visitors, and we do not use this data to build profiles.
4. Cookies
NovoltGear sets no cookies. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools. The cookie banner you may have seen is not consent for tracking — it records a single preference so the banner does not reappear.
That preference is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key
novoltgear-cookie-consent. It contains one word, it is never sent to our servers,
and clearing your browser storage removes it.
5. Third-party requests
Loading a page here causes a small number of requests to third parties. We list them all:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com) — supplies the typefaces used on the site. Google receives your IP address and browser details as part of serving the font files. Google's own privacy policy governs that request. - Cloudflare — serves the site and provides security filtering.
- Outbound product links — when you click a link to a brand's website, you leave this site and that brand's privacy policy applies. Nothing is sent to the brand until you click.
We do not embed social media pixels, video players, comment systems, or any advertising network.
6. Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links, which means a brand may pay us a commission if you buy
something after clicking. These links are labelled on the page, and they are marked with
rel="sponsored" in the page markup.
When you click an affiliate link, the brand or its affiliate network may set its own cookies on their site to attribute the sale. That happens on their site, under their policy, and only after you click. We do not receive your personal data from them — at most we receive aggregate reporting such as the number of clicks and sales.
See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full explanation, including which links are currently commercial.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. Because we hold almost nothing, most of these rights are satisfied automatically. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will remove it.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing email correspondence is our legitimate interest in answering you. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
8. Children
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data retention and security
Email correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for answering you and for our own records. The site itself stores no personal data, so there is no database to breach. The site is served over HTTPS.
10. Changes to this policy
If we add something that changes this picture — for example an analytics tool or a newsletter — we will update this page and change the date at the top before it goes live.
